"Just a quick update for you after a great
weekend out and about in the car:
I have a completely clean garage floor
- no oil anywhere.
Fuel consumption - back to where it was
- even with me really having some fun with it.
Hesitation - no chance - it pulls hard and just keeps on going....and
going... and going.
If it takes of any faster, I will need air traffic control
every time I go out.
Suspension - massive improvement - well pleased. Car feels
so different and absorbs all bumps in the road far more than before. Really noticed the difference when going over speed bumps
at low speed. The car feels so more stable than before also. The front end is far more responsive to steering adjustments
and generally feels far more settled on the road. Previously, it felt very skittish, especially at lowish speeds.
Not that I do this often but when I used to light the rears
up from a standing start, the rear always used to jump to the left and I had no real confidence that I would end up facing
the right way. Out of interest, I had a play about in a local car park yesterday and now it just goes straight ahead and feels
very controllable. I guess this must be down to the various suspension changes.
The best bit though was that I have been out driving all this
weekend rather than being stuck in the garage fixing stuff.
All in all - well pleased.
